Just because it’s so freaking awesome. Lara down the bottom is beyond perfection.

pretty please.
I’m kind of having a bit of a hard time at the moment.
Between getting organised for my big adventure, trying to fill out copious paperwork for an application to drama school, foreign job hunting and dealing with the resulting fall out I’m a little out of sorts.
Tonight I took a bit of time out and went to an audition for a short film. The thing is with these kinds of...
rosey.
Ahhh badlands. Thanks for being my absolute favourite blog out there and constantly providing me with the most beautiful of inspiration.
Today I was introduced to Lukasz Wierzbowski’s photography. Instant love. Pretty petals and beautiful girls are always a good mix as far as I’m concerned.

typecast.
Please do yourself a favour and take my favourite online quiz, ‘What Type Are You?’.
Super quirky with beautiful narration. I love the final “analysis” - I scored archer hairline and I’m in heaven. Beyond perfection.

I have big love for Ms Rutt. She’s an unconventional virgin suicides type beauty. A complete chameleon without ever losing her personality. And she just seems really comfortable in her own skin. An admirable quality in any woman.

loved up.
How many times do we really get kissed like this?
That intense moment where you completely submit to someone else and the overwhelming wave of lust and desire. Even better when there’s true love in the mix.

More lingerie love…
It’s all about the demi cup.

candyland.
I’m a creature of habit. I tend to stick to what I know, which means nine times out of ten ill be kitted out in black, navy or white.
It’s not that I don’t love a bit of colour, it just seems a little tricky to wrangle.
So while I’m not quite sure what to do with it style wise, nothing beats a candy coloured posy to brighten the mood. Guaranteed to put a smile on my...
The only way we could feel close to the girls was through these impossible trips...

20s revival.
So much 20s buzz happening in Sydney right now with the pending production of Great Gatsby. I’m kind of miffed because everyone and his dog will probably be rocking a flapper dress this time next year and they’re totally stealing my thunder.
The 20s are undoubtedly the most delightfully romantic and gloriously decadent period I can imagine. Films like Atonement and La Vie En Rose...
escapism.
According to trend forecasters out there (btw dream job!) escapism is going to be a major trend next season. Exotic prints, north african beading and quirky 50s prints all qualify.
To me this is the ultimate escape. Cooling off in the shallows, laying around on a grassy hill with my boyfriend and enjoying a glass of rose with friends. So glad the beach is mere minutes away!

smudgy, smokey.
After pouring over my new copy of Carine’s Irreverent (P.S. I’m obsessed) I have a new found love for the smokey eye.
The lace mask isn’t bad either. Wonder if I can pull that one off in the office?

girl crush.
Why oh why do french girls always look this good?
There aren’t many girls out there who manage to switch from sex kitten, to girl next door, to classical beauty so effortlessly. I literally swoon over Lea Seydoux.
cubism.
Perfect palette, perfect composition, perfect moment of fashion.

getaway.
I’m dying to get some sand between my toes.
It’s going to be stifling 32 degrees in Sydney today and I can’t take that kind of heat in the city. It makes me feel claustrophobic and I can’t concentrate.
I’d rather go somewhere with my man, laze around in the water and take in the sunshine at my own pace.

tee time.
Basics reinvented. They’re the pieces in my wardrobe that are on high rotation.
This Givenchy tee would so easily slot into my life. Perfect with a blazer and coated jeans, or with a mini a la Christine. Ahhhhhh I think it’s a must have.

bow peep.
I *accidentally* fell into a temporary internet shopping coma last night.
It was late and it had been a long day…well that’s my excuse anyway. Beside I think these bow pumps are going to be a perfect NY staple. And don’t remind me that shopping for things to wear on an overseas trip is legally insane.

spangle.
Can Natalie Joos be any more awesome?
Yes I do love these booties, but it’s more about the spangled lurex socks for me.
Let the hunting begin.

good housekeeping.
Channeling my inner domestic goddess this evening by cooking a roast, playing some 50s jazz and lighting a candle. Whilst it might not be as glamourous as pictured, it definitely was delightful. If only I could bring myself to face the towering stack of laundry now…

resolute.
If ever a woman has achieved perfection of the female form, it has to be Miranda. Not only does she look like this, but she has impeccible style and grace as well as being a seemingly lovely human being.
It’s just too much for me. But for the rest of summer I’m going to try to follow her lead.

…and I will be soon.

secret women's business.
My favourite element of fashion is lingerie. A bold claim, but it truly is. I love the feeling of silk and lace against bare skin and I love that beautiful lingerie is the secret that a woman carries quietly along with her throughout the day.
Who could resist?
